Hofgården is located at the shore of Tåkern, the lake of the fish and the birds, located in the heart of the rich plain of Östergötland. Hofgården has a heritage from the middle of the 11th century. Among the former landlords are Birger Jarl, King Gustav Vasa, and Johan Ture Funck who was deprived of his freedom alleged of taking part of the murder of King Gustav III. The Granath Family came to Hofgården in 1941 and manages a traditional agricultural business as well as wind power production, livestock farming and landscape management. The hunting lodge belonging to the property of Hofgården is located on the shore of Tåkern. We invite individuals, families and groups to stay here for wild life experiences including shooting, fishing, bird watching or just enjoying the peace found in this untouched bird paradise. You will stay in the lodge with the magnificent view of the sun settling behind Tåkern and Mount Omberg. Please do have a look on the web page and contact us for any queries.
